Kuselan which remains as a black mark on Rajinikanth’s film career is now hitting Marmayogi this time. As the sources close to Kamal hint that the movie might get shelved for almost a year, some reliable sources say that the project will surely see light in January 2009.

With the economic crisis hitting the world, the south Indian film industry is also getting a tight slap. It is a fact that Marmayogi will be a 129 crores project which will be jointly produced by Pyramid Samaira and Raj Kamal International the latter producer is lagging the project and has recently announced its next venture starting 2009. On Thursday last week Raj Kamal international has registered a title “Thalaivan Irukiran” which will commence from January 2009.

Raj Kamal international has expressed their unwillingness to produce Marmayogi as they lack the confidence that the movie may become a hit. The story will have Kamal as a 6th century AD priest and the story will be based on the century’s milestone.  

Hema Malini and Trisha are considering backing out of the project as the movies canning is still a dilemma.

Hema Malini has already expressed her unwillingness to take part in the shooting if it takes place in March next year. Kamal Hassan is also said to be rethinking on the project and may enact and direct the movie Thalaivan Irukiran which will be produced by Raj Kamal Productions at a cost of 37 crores.

Superstar Rajinikanth who said no to politics recently is busy with his on going shooting schedule of Endhiran. The movie is a mega project and so Rajini wants to give his 100% to the movie. The third schedule of Endhiran will start from November 14th and will be winded up by December 1st week.

Mechanize, recently Megastar Chiranjeevi gave an interview to CNN-IBN and revealed that Rajinikanth will enter politics in the year 2010. He also revealed that when he enquired about the superstar’s future palms, the Thalaivar hinted that he will venture out into politics on his 60th birthday.

Chiranjeevi also added that he was eager to see Rajinikanth as a politician and also said that the superstar has the potential and Charisma to make it big in politics.

Meanwhile sources close to Rajinikanth have revealed that a death threat letter has been received by the superstar from a militant organization which is with the special cops who are investigating the matter.

Actress Meena is not happy now. She got disgusted with the way the ‘Kathanayakudu’ team treated her. She said that she was not given appropriate respect and recognition as heroine of the film.
 
"My name was given on title cards after Nayantara’s name. That is the respect they gave for seniority. And before the shooting itself I assured that my role shouldn’t get over shadowed by anyone except Rajini Kanth. But Vasu over heard my conditions although he nodded head for everything. After the film was released my friends and relatives called me and said that I was not given proper recognition. That’s embarrassing for me. And I acted in one sentimental scene and that was cut down from the film completely to my surprise. The scene was when my kid asks me why he was born dark; I answer him in a way that touches everyone’s heart. But why that was removed from the film? Every care was taken to dilute my charisma. I love Rajni Kanth but it is not something that could happen in his film. That’s the reason I kept away from all publicity of the film", said Meena.
